Style Inspiration for Your Next Beach Vacation

Hey Friends! My husband and I recently visited Tulum, Mexico to celebrate our 5-year wedding anniversary. I chronicled our entire trip real-time in Instagram Stories and received so much love from my One Fly Crew about my outfits, that I decided to create this blog post to share some style inspiration for your next beach vacation. Hopefully, this will make your online shopping and outfit planning just a little bit easier.  I’ll share the places where I purchased my outfits, some of my favorite accessories from the trip, and even the makeup artist that I hired while in Tulum for our photoshoot.

Tulum Vacation Outfits

Now friends, I am not a luxury fashion girl…like at all. I definitely have a champagne taste, beer budget style when it comes to clothes. I just love great quality AND a great deal! So if you are looking for FLY vacation outfits at a good price, then here are a few of my favorite looks for less from our Tulum vacation.

Icon Swim is one of my favorite online stores to purchase swimwear from. Not only because they’re stylish, but the prices are always right. This particular orange and snakeskin swimsuit that I’m wearing is sold out, but at the time, I only purchased it for $28.

And let me just pause for a moment, and share this hat with you that I’m wearing in the photo above. Let me tell you friends, you will never buy another wide-brim beach hat after this one.

Firstly, it rolls up. Genius! It has an elastic tie that holds the hat together for traveling when you roll it up. You don’t have to worry about bending your hat in your suitcase or even having to carry it in hand on the plane. It has the cutest bow detail on the back too. It has an open top design with an adjustable velcro closure when you want to wear your hair up or if you have “big head” issues like me that find it hard to fit some straw hats comfortably. And finally, it has UPF 50 protection from the sun. Like I said, no need to buy another beach hat after this one guys. It’s a winner!

This red leopard print swimsuit is MY FAVORITE SWIMSUIT that I’ve ever purchased from Amazon! The quality is really great. It’s nice and thick, has adjustable straps to really hold your girls up, padded inserts and it even has tummy control for the mamas with a little pooch like me. It’s backless and gives the right amount of full coverage, yet still sexy!

This teal high waisted two piece swimsuit was from a company overseas called Sporlike. The quality was great and when I saw it, I just knew I had to have it for our Tulum Yacht tour. Word of caution, the shipping took forever. Almost a month to receive it. But I was pleasantly surprised that the quality was still great. They have some really gorgeous swimwear options and I would definitely order from them again.

This custom one-piece white swimsuit is from a company on Etsy. They design swimsuits with personalized sayings. I sent them my One Fly Mama logo and it came out great. The swimsuit material is thick and has pads perfect for a Tulum vacation.

This yellow fringe dress was probably my favorite look from our Tulum vacation. I mean I had been waiting almost two years to wear it! And get this…it’s from Amazon and less than $60!!! Click here to check it out. The clear pointed toe heels that I wore with this dress were also from Amazon.

Here’s one of our looks from our photoshoot that I really love. I can’t wait to get the professional pics back to share with you guys. My makeup is by Yessica of Makeup Association. She is a Tulum-based MUA that travels to your location.

This matching swimsuit set is from Diva Boutique, a company based in Miami. Diva Boutique’s shipping was lightning fast. The men’s trunks ran a bit small, so order a size up if possible. The one piece women’s swimsuit with matching skirt that I’m wearing was EVERYTHING! Unfortunately, the removable belt that came with it was so small. I could wrap it around my thigh, but not my waist. Lol.

I paired the swimsuit/skirt set with this wide elastic stretch waist belt from Amazon and it cinched me right in. I love this belt. It went perfectly with my cute vacation bamboo purse from Amazon. The purse comes with a silk bag to store it in and a silk print scarf to tie on the outside of it. These gorgeous drop earrings from Pink Lily were also one of my favs from our Tulum vacation. If you have time, just scroll in the earrings section on the Pink Lily website. I swear they have the most gorgeous earrings.

Speaking of Pink Lily, this fun ivory crop top with tassels came from there too. Oh how I loved this fun top so much!

There are two pink sets that I wanted to share with you guys as well. The two-piece crop top shorts set is from Shein for only $20. The waist band has a little stretch and it’s high waisted. I felt so cute in this y’all.

And the off the shoulder romper is from Fashion Nova and fit great too. I definitely can’t wait to wear that one again.

The leopard platform wedges that I’m wearing with these two pink numbers are from Amazon. I am in love with these shoes. Leopard is a neutral and you can seriously wear them with anything which is why they make the perfect vacation shoe. They were comfy + cute!

These high rise skinny ankle jeans are so comfortable and they fit in all the right places! I wore these on the plane.

Another one of my favorite looks from our Tulum vacation was the dress I wore on a yacht ride from KTR Collection. I actually purchased it a few years ago. It’s no longer offered, but you should still check this boutique out. They have the most gorgeous selection of flowy vacation dresses that I’ve ever seen.

Lastly, my most dramatic and EXTRA look was another Amazon WIN. This sheer robe dress was perfection. It’s perfect for photoshoots. The sellers had excellent communication and now I don’t know what to do with the dress now that I’ve used it for a photoshoot. Lol.
