Our family recently traveled to the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee and had the opportunity to stay in beautiful, modern cabin perfect for big families overlooking the mountains.
I loved this cabin for many reasons but wanted to point out a few in case you’re looking for the perfect space for your large family or group too.
Traveling to the area
This trip was in partnership with Allegiant Airlines. They are known for non-stop, low fare flights to many cities across the U.S. We flew directly from Houston, Texas (HOU) to Knoxville, Tennesse (TYS). It was a quick 1 hour 45-minute flight for us.

Although we flew directly into Knoxville, we drove 30-40 miles to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville areas where all of our activities were. I put together a MINI ITINERARY of things to do in the area. See the caption on the Instagram reel below.
The cabin that we stayed in is in Sevierville, Tennessee.
Things I Love About this Modern Cabin in Tennessee for Big Families
- This cabin is LARGE. It is 3 stories and has 4 bedrooms each with their own bathroom AND their own private balcony overlooking the mountains.
2. There is a very large basement game room with an electronic basketball hoops game, ping pong table, arcade games, board games, and more. This room has beautiful windows overlooking the mountains as well. This is the room where we spent most of our time as a family. It’s perfect for big families or large groups. This basement room has 4 additional bunk beds making the total accommodation for this home 12 people! Each bunk bed has it’s own night light/lantern on the wall.
3. There is a large walkaround balcony off the main level of this house. It has sliding doors and a window from the kitchen that fully opens to make it easy to serve guests sitting outside on the balcony…from inside the kitchen!
4. Although we didn’t use the hot tub during our stay, I thought that it was a cool perk to have. This home also has a gas grill, modern fire pit, and even a peloton bike for use.
5. This cabin is in a private gated community. And although there is a about a mile drive up to the cabin once inside the gate, unlike other properties, you do not need a 4WD vehicle to drive to it. It’s a very drivable terrain.
6.. The views. The views. The views. Enough said.
I highly recommend this cabin for big families wanting a secluded and unobstructed view of the mountains. The area was very quite and the home had top notch, modern amenities. The vibes were ON POINT! If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comment section below. We absolutely loved our vacation to Tennessee and can’t wait to go back again.
