Instructions:
When I say this DIY Floral Ice Bucket is super easy to recreate, I mean it. It’s easy peasy when you use this ice mold.
- First, gather all of your fruit and flowers. This was the hardest part for me….trying to determine which flowers I wanted to use. I recommend as colorful of a flower as possible. As far as the fruit, citrus freezes well and keeps its color in the ice. Have fun with it and be creative. Feel free to match the color scheme of your event or gathering. I knew I wanted to use limes and lemons in my ice mold, so I intentionally looked for green and yellow flowers. I threw in petite pink roses for a pop of color.
Be sure to cut the complete stem off the flowers. We don’t want stems in the ice, just the beautiful colors from your florals.
2. Fill your ice bucket mold with DISTILLED water to the fill line and fill it with as many fruit and flowers as you please. In my opinion, the more the merrier.
3. Once your DIY floral ice bucket is full, cover it with the included plastic top and freeze overnight.
4. Once frozen, remove the ice bucket from the freezer, flip it over (with the top still on) under warm running water for 45 seconds to one minute. The time will depend on how long you left the bucket to freeze. Once the mold starts to loosen, then flip back upright and remove the lid.
5. Finally, allow the ice to slide through the mold and onto the included plastic stand inside the stainless steel base. You’re now ready to display your creation and keep your favorite bottle of choice cool.

Notes:
- Be sure to use distilled water. It freezes clear and not cloudy like spring or tap water.
- Freeze overnight to make sure the mold is frozen solid.
- Don’t display the floral ice bucket on your table or bar cart until your party or event begins to prolong the life of the ice.
- Depending on the temperature in the room, this DIY floral ice bucket can keep your drinks cold and stay frozen up to 4 hours. As it melts, the flowers and fruit will fall around the stainless steel bottom. The ice will melt inside of the bottom and not on your tabletop. This is another reason why I love this ice bucket mold so much. Easy cleanup.
- I would highly recommend only using this floral ice bucket for indoors events.
On a scale of 1 to 10 of difficulty, this DIY is definitely a 1. Easy! But looks so gorgeous that your guests would think that it required way more effort than it did. This DIY floral ice bucket mold is perfect for a Mother’s Day or springtime brunch. I added it to my floral and fruit table runner and it was a hit!
