Need a teacher gift idea? This Chick-Fil-A Teacher Appreciation gift is a hit! On Saturday afternoon, my son asked me if he can buy a gift for his teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week beginning on Monday. He’s a 6th grader in middle school and I can admit that I honestly didn’t think teacher appreciation gifts were a thing in middle school. So I posted a poll in my Instagram Stories to ask everyone what they thought. 54% said yes to have given gifts to middle school teachers, 46% said no.
Immediately, I thought about the 7 teachers that he has now vs. just 2 in elementary school and went to Google to start researching some ideas. I love that he wanted to get them gifts. It made my heart smile. I just needed to find something inexpensive to take care of all of his teachers plus our two youngest kid’s teachers as well.
I came across this blog post on Chick-Fil-A’s website and thought that this was the perfect sentiment. Not terribly expensive, yet a thoughtful gesture to say thanks. And I mean who doesn’t love Chick-Fil-A?
Chick-Fil-A Teacher Appreciation Gift Supplies
Instructions:
First, head to your local Chick-Fil-A store and purchase as many gift cards as you need. Physical Chick-Fil-A gift cards are available in any amount between $5 and $100 at most of their restaurant locations. Be sure to ask for an empty nuggets box (or sandwich box) to use as a display to present your gift card in. My location gave me the boxes flat and I just assembled them at home. Don’t forget to grab the gift card receipts for each card as well.
Next, the fun part begins. After assembling the boxes, stuff each box with a handful of shredded paper and top it with the gift card. I love the way this brown kraft shredded paper looks in contrast to the box and coordinated with the gift cards. Slip the gift card receipt under the paper as well. It’s always helpful for a gift card recipient to know how much is on their card before they use it.
As a personal twist on this teacher appreciation gift idea, have your child write a note to their teacher on the inside top flap of the nuggets box.
Lastly, print out these free Chick-Fil-A gift card tags, poke a hole in them using a pin hole puncher and tie each box up with a bow or string. I used this classic red and white string because it matches the box so perfectly. As a side note, write each teacher’s name on the bottom of the box if you wrote a personal note inside to not get them all mixed up.
And that’s it. An easy last minute teacher appreciation gift idea or idea for any time of the school year. It’s never too late to recognize and appreciate the teachers in our children’s lives. They work so hard and deserve to be celebrated. Wouldn’t you agree?
